 About "Sograte BBQ"

All natural hickory smoked homemade beef jerky from Sograte BBQ is simply the best beef jerky you will find. Sograte Hickory Smoked Beef Jerky is slow smoked with a live hickory fire for that real Texas style BBQ smoke flavor. This is real Texas beef jerky at it's best, try just one bag and you will agree that our beef jerky stands above the rest.

I am interested in:
Meeting new people that I can learn from or share my experince with.
The best BBQ I have ever competed in/attended:
Buffalo BBQ Battle, that is Buffalo lake, here in Lubbock, TX. 105 teams. This was 1st time to put fire in a new cooker that we finished welding on while it was hooked to the truck that was loaded and ready to go. Not the best place to try to learn a new cooker, but we figured it out. As a qualifier for the Royal, there were a lot a heavy hitters there looking for the invite. We got final table in ribs and brisket.
What I cook best:
Brisket, ribs, chicken, butt, beans
What’s in the cooler while Q’ng:
water, Bud Light, Keystone Light, Zeigenbock, Diet Coke, Coke, Captain Morgan, Capri Sun...
What’s burnin’? ( types of wood / charcoal I use):
For barbecueing, mostly oak, sometimes I throw in a little mesquite. For beef jerky, it is charcoal bed with hickory chunks.
Second helping’s / favorite BBQ joint:
My favorite grill manufacturer:

My Equipment:
Homebuilt trailer mounted 7ft X 30in cook chamber with a 30x30 firebox. 6ft x 24in backyard cooker. Brick backyard smoker. Chargriller with fire box for the kids to cook on. 24in kettle grill.
